Hello the internet! OMG It has been such a long time since I last updated my BlogPod, Instagram and YouTube channel. (By the way, I’m back on YouTube again with daily short vlogs. So make sure to check out my YouTube channel!) I’ve missed all of it so much. The last time I wrote my latest BlogPod post was on the first of December 2021! 6 months ago! Ok so A LOT has happened since then and I’m here to update the BlogPod and talk about EVERYTHING I’ve been through.

I GOT A JOB!

So, I talked about my last day as a luxurious housewife in my latest BlogPod post. I managed to get a Danish CPR number, I applied for a job, went on an interview and I got the job Alhamdolillah. I worked at a company called Hobbii. It’s a company that sells yarn and stuff. I worked at their warehouse in Greve. In order to get to the warehouse I needed a car. And since I got my drivers license in August 2021 I didn’t hesitate to apply for the job. It was literally a 20 minutes ride to the warehouse from home. Perfect!

Now the reason for WHY I wanted a job was because being at home was killing me. It was SO boring. Living at the country side is amazing but without friends and family and nothing to do, I was going insane. I wanted to break that boring routine I’ve been living in: cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, feeding the chicken and scrolling through social media. I wanted something to stimulate my brain with because it was dying!

Going to work was so much fun. I got to meet some new people from all over the world. Working at Hobbii was fun because of the diversity at the warehouse and we all spoke in English. So no danish needed thank God! I enjoyed going to work, having something to do, meeting new people and having an income of my own. But after almost 2 months and a half of working something happened.

I GOT COVID-19!

Yup, I got hit by Covid. I stayed at home for 8 days and I had ALL the symptoms. I had a cold, fever, headache, lost my taste and smell senses and my entire body was aching. I was so tired and slept through the entire day. I had already taken 2 doses of the covid vaccin and I was a bit surprised that I got hit by covid. I guess there are no guarantees. But Alhamdolillah for everything.

So, when I finally started to feel better, I had to get a negative covid test in order to go back to work. But on my way to the test center something horrible happened.

I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT!

I got dressed and drove the car to the test center. I was so excited about finally going back to work. I’ve been only driving the car for like 6 minutes when I suddenly drove into a railing. Everything happened so fast and all I remember was that I was in a shock. I got off the car and noticed the damage I had caused. I started to panic and didn’t know what to do. My husband was in Germany and I was all alone in Denmark. I’ve never felt so alone in my entire life. Should I call the police? Or our car insurance company? What’s the police number in Denmark anyway? And where do I find the number to the car insurance company?!

I started crying and called my sister and my husband. The people walking around were so nice to me and everyone wanted to help. I was just in shock and my brain had zoned out. I’m just happy that I didn’t hit anyone with the car.

To make a long story short. The police arrived (someone had called the police, thank God) and they drove the car to a safer place. They checked my drivers license and all the car papers. The police was so confused because my driver’s license was Swedish, I was driving a German car and my address was here in Denmark 😂 He was like, what is going on?! Hahah I laughed so much.

Anyway, my lovely husband booked a flight back to Denmark and arrived like 2 hours after the accident. He called the car insurance company as well and he sorted everything out. I was so happy to see him and hugged him and cried and hugged him and cried for so long. It felt so good to have him close ❤️

I QUIT THE JOB!

Unfortunately, after the car accident I decided to quit the job. It was a hard decision but without a car I couldn’t drive to work. And if I took the bus and train instead, it would take me 4 hours back and forth. it was just not worth it. (It took the company 2 months to repair the car by the way, such a long time) My husband drove me a couple of times to work and then went to his job but it wasn’t the best solution. Our jobs were far away from each other and we both started sometimes at the same time and sometimes not. So I had to quit 😭

I was so sad because I didn’t want to go back to my boring life. And besides, I had met so many new people and I had made some new friends. But I guess God had other plans and I trust his plans. A week after I quit the job something very unexpected happened..

I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT!

After that I quit the job and stayed at home, I started to feel very tired. I slept A LOT! I could sleep for like 11-12 hours and still be tired. I thought maybe that I was depressed, or that my body was still recovering from Covid or the car accident. I had no idea what my body was going through. I was aware that I had missed my period as well but I just thought that it had to do with Covid or my hormones.

One day, I started to have more and more queasiness, and it was at this point that my husband requested that I should take a pregnancy test. I was like “no way” it can’t be! I took the test anyway and when I saw that it was positive I got absolutely shocked!! What?! ME!? PREGNANT?! NOOO WAAAAY!!! I sent a text to my husband but deleted it immediately, I knew that he wouldn’t focus at work so I decided to wait.

Positive pregnancy test – 31/01/2022

I took a shower, got dressed and made an extra delicious meal that evening. When my lovely husband finally arrived, I set the table for the two of us. I was putting down the third plate (a small one, and a small spoon to tell my husband the following sentence: “A third person will eat with us today”) But he was so quick and I didn’t even finish the sentence when he stood up and shouted: “ARE YOU PREGNANT? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?! ARE YOU PREGNANT???!!!”

I was like wooooow calm down how on earth did you know? And I don’t joke about these things come on! He was happy and terrified at the same time. We hugged and laughed and were so shocked. I can’t describe all the emotions we were going through. We were both happy but kind of sad because it was not planned.

We had just decided our future and which country we were moving to next. So having a baby right now was just a bad timing. But of course, we decided to keep the baby and to stick to our plan.

I’m 6 months pregnant now! 🤗🥰 and I’m so excited for this new chapter in our lives and I look forward to meet our baby and discover our roles together as a mum and dad.

That was my life update for now and I look forward to write more BlogPod posts and be active again on my Instagram and Youtube channel. I can’t wait for all the new adventures that awaits me these last 6 months of 2022! May they be beautiful, Amen 🙏
