Blessed Friday my lovely BlogPod!
I love Friday’s. I think I’ve said that before. Friday is like a small Eid and a day for an imaan boost. I LOVE to wear an abaya on a Friday and drive to the mosque. I love to hear the jumah prayer, say salam to all the sisters at the mosque, read some quran and then go do something fun. Have a dinner at a restaurant or eat an ice cream while enjoying the sun on my face. Ok the last bit is just wishful thinking. The weather is not that good here in Denmark. It’s a gray day today. Just like yesterday. And the day before that. But the perfect activity would be go visiting family/relatives and friends and have dinner together.
Speaking of abayas by the way. I got this Abaya from Dubai while visiting the country. It comes with an underdress and a Hijab in a similar color and a belt. I think Abayas are so modest, elegant, luxurious and beautiful. I’d wear an abaya all day, everyday, but they are not that practical in a western country to be honest. Especially if you work all day. It’s just the wrong vibe I don’t know. So I enjoyed wearing all my abayas in Dubai. (ok I have like only 3 abayas 😅 hehe)
Anyway, unfortunately my husband works on friday’s so we can’t go to the mosque together. I wish we lived in a country where everybody had a day off on Friday’s. That would be lovely.
On a Friday. I love to take a shower, do some extra skincare pampering. Get my hair done. Clean the house and light up some bakhoor. Pick a lovely abaya and leave the house to drive to the mosque. If I don’t drive to the mosque, I like to stay at home and sit in my praying corner with my prayer clothes. Pray Zuhr prayer and then read surah al Kahf. After that I like to do some zikr. And then I put some anasheed and bake a delicious cake to eat. 😋 Yummy! I wish my family where here so I could invite them over 😔 I like to have some snacks later during the evening, light up a scented candle and watch a great movie.
Speaking of cake. I love the tiger cake. And I baked it last week following this recipe by Camilla Hamid. It turned out absolutely delicious! Camilla’s recipes are amazing.
And with that said, I wish you all a blessed Friday!
