Today is Monday and it’s the last day in May. It’s now 2 months left until we move out to a new country again. I’m so excited and I’m so happy that we got the chance to live in Sweden from March until July. These are the most beautiful months in Sweden, in my opinion, during the entire year. Spring and summer are the loveliest seasons in Sweden, so Alhamdolillah for that!
I’ve made a routine every time it’s time to move to another country. The routine is to declutter and go through everything we own and see what we have used during the stay. I divide our things into categories and declutter one category after the other. We have the wardrobe, shoes, kitchen tools, our toiletries, makeup, accessories, electronics and any new decorations or furnitures we’ve bought during our stay. I go through each category and make decisions about what I’m keeping, throwing, selling or giving away. It’s very satisfying and it helps me to keep track of what we really use/need and don’t. Last time I decluttered in Germany before moving, I got rid of 6 big huge black bags of only clothing! I was so shocked 😮 about the amount of clothes I had but never used.
As I mentioned above, I’m excited about moving to a new country. So far we’ve lived in apartments, hotels and hotel apartments and mostly in big cities. This time we are moving to a big house and far away from the city. We are going to live in a house on the countryside for about 6 months (maybe a year) so that will be a new and different experience for both me and my husband.
But before moving out. There are a few things that I want to do while I’m in Sweden and I really hope that I’ll manage to do all these things before time is up! I need to be very productive and work really hard during these 2 months so I can achieve these things before moving out Inshallah. May Allah give me the patience, the strength and the will to do so Inshallah.
I wish us all a happy and productive week!
