When I was in Paris once, I was introduced to the french cuisine, and that included snails. I was so curious to try it but I never had the chance to.
So when I was in Morocco. Our friendly neighbors took us to the night market. People were hanging out, eating corn, nuts and snails. When I saw the snails, I thought to myself, “This is my chance”. Our neighbors encouraged us to try it out, so me and my sister bought a bowl (the smallest size but it had so many snails in it).
The moment I put the snail in my mouth it felt very “snaily” as I described it. What I meant was that it’s very chewy and slimy. The taste is not so remarkable. It didn’t taste so much. I guess it depends on the seasoning. But I kind of liked it anyway!
