die empty

It sounds scary, I know, but it isn’t.

I read an article once about following your dreams and to never give up on them. It could be anything from traveling around the world to learn how to make sushi at home. The author talked about doing everything you want to do in life before you die. That’s the meaning of “Die empty”. You don’t want to take your dreams with you to the grave. You want to make them come true in life.

Fear is a word that, unfortunately, keeps us from achieving our dreams. We all have some sort of fears and we need to face them, to be able to reach our dreams. When we step out of our comfort zone, that’s when we grow!

Since I read the article about the concept of “Die empty”, I created a dream jar. And since that day, my whole life revolves around my dream jar. I made a list about EVERYTHING I want to do in my life. Big and small. I then wrote down these dreams on squared colored papers. One paper for each dream. And for each year that passes I make sure to achieve some of these things. And let me tell you that my dream jar is one of the best investments I’ve done for myself. My dream jar is what keeps me motivated in life whenever I feel down or depressed!

I don’t know for how long I’ll live. But one thing is for sure, nothing is guaranteed. Therefore, the most important thing is to have patience, to move forward and to never give up on achieving my dreams. So when my time has come. I can lay in my grave knowing that I’ve died empty.
